A small town of fishermen and small-scale tourism, is located on the northwest coast of Colombia, on the border with Panama. It consists of a special ecosystem of jungle and beach and it is a perfect place to rest, walk and to enjoy water sports.

Capurganá is the perfect destination for travellers who want to visit remote places with exuberant nature and who want to get to know life on the Colombian coast.

Capurganá can be reached by small aircraft from Medellín, or by bus and boat. From Capurganá you can make beautiful trekkings in the jungle on the coast. You can also dive here and you will find many beautiful beaches near Capurganá.

How to get there?

There are several options for going to Capurganá: you can fly from Medellín to Acandí and travel from there with a speedboat taxi in just over an hour to Capurganá. Or you can fly directly from Medellín to Capurganá in an hour.

Encocado de pargo: a fish (snapper) in coconut milk, prepared in a stew.
Ceviche: A raw fish or seafood dish with lemon, onion, tomato, coriander and sauces.
